Every day should be Earth Day!

April is the month when we all actually enjoy being outside and what better month to celebrate Earth Day then when we have such beautiful weather and all the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing! Technically Earth Day is on April 22, but we are choosing to focus on it for the whole month of April.  The library has a great display here in RLC with lots of great books and DVDs covering all aspects of how we can all help our planet. So come and check one out and make the planet a better place to live!

There are also some great online resources available through our databases:

Opposing Viewpoints topic pages on Environmentalism, Carbon Offsets, Biofuels, Local Food Movement, Organic Food

Issues & Controversies pages on Climate Change, Energy, Hydrofracking

Also on Wednesday April 22 the library is hosting a movie screening in RLC 116 – show times are 11am and 12:30pm

The film is Plastic Paradise, a documentary about the effect our garbage is having on the Pacific Ocean – come by and take a look!
